About the card author:

Debbie Hall contributed the text for this card, inspired by her own experience as a new empty nester. Having raised and launched three children, Debbie knows how parents look forward to having time and space after the kids have grown up, but feelings of relief can be mingled with loss.

Now that her birds have flown, Debbie is finally catching up on her scrap books and qualified for the Boston Marathon for the first time. She is proof that that the empty nest can be a launch-pad to new adventures and challenges! But also deeply feels the mixed feelings of this new chapter.
